Imagine getting a call at 10:30 the night of your second Moderna shot giving you less than 36 hours to write a script for Nike. One that would get Warner Bros, the Space Jam creative trust, and LeBron and his team on board… then doing it?!
In one the most rewarding projects of my life by far, I got to guide this episode of Nike’s hugely successful Playlist YouTube series from script to release, from words on the page to scribbled (then professionalized) storyboards, animatics to Zoom recording sessions with Looney Tunes talent, to shoot with the GOAT himself and post with an even greater creative team throughout.
As “just a kid from Ohio” myself I don’t think I’ll ever fully believe this one actually happened. Especially since it dropped in Times Square on my birthday? But here it is, “That’s All Folks!” and all.
